Easter Milwaukee Glaze Ham

I do not know why this ham is named Milwaukee except that it’s cooked with beer or you decorate it with cheese. Half a ham is supposed to serve 6-8.

Ingredients:

Half a ham
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1/4 cup beer or ale
2 slices each of America and Swiss cheese

Directions:

Bake ham according to label instructions. In a bowl mix the brown sugar, mustard into a paste. Gradually stir in the beer until well blended. Brush part of the mixture over the ham 45 minutes before it’s done. Repeat frequently during the remainder of the baking time.

When ham is done, remove from oven. Decorate with 1 1/4” triangles of American and Swiss cheese. Return to the oven until the cheese softens.
