Ribs with Spicy Country Seasoning

Do you have someone in your family that just loves ribs? Ribs that are so tender the meat just falls off the bone. My younger granddaughter loves ribs smothered in BBQ sauce, but these are different. These are rubbed with special spicy country seasonings. (🤐🤫 It’s a family secret.) And your favorite sauce! They are cooked slowly on the grill for 2 hours or in the oven for 2 1/2 hours Serves 2 to 4

Ingredients:

2lbs Pork Ribs
Bottle of your favorite sauce

Seasoning:
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground coriander
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:

Combine seasoning in an airtight container while the oven heat to 325F or the coals on the grill get gray-white. Shake the contents then rub on both sides of the ribs. Remember the flavor becomes more intense the longer the rub stays on the ribs before cooking.

Grill: place ribs bone side down on grill and cook slowly for 1-1 1/2 hours over indirect heat, turning often. The last 30 minutes of cooking brush on your favorite sauce. Continue to turn and cook until tender.

Oven: place ribs bone done on a baking pan and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 3/4-2 hours. Uncover, brush on your sauce and cook another 30 minutes. Yum Yum!
