Captain’s Chowder

This is another recipe I’ve had for a long time and I’ve never tried it so if you like a chowder and try this let me know. I never tried of Cream of Shrimp soup or that it ever existed. Have you? Serves 8-10

Ingredients:

1 lb pkg of frozen hash browns
1 cup onion, sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups non-fat dry milk
4 cups water
2 tablespoons flour
1 lb frozen fish fillets, thawed and diced
1 10 1/2oz can of condensed cream of shrimp soup
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves

Directions:

In a Dutch Oven combine the hash browns, onion, salt and water. Bring to boil for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes. Return to heat. In a small bowl combine the dry milk and the flour then add it to the potato mixture. Add the fish fillets and boil until the fish starts to flake. Add the soup, pepper and thyme. Stir and return to boil, then reduce heat to warm to serve. Garnish with bacon bits, parsley, pat of butter or paprika. Yum Yum!

It does exist!
