Air Fryer Baked Apple 🍎

This recipe is for Dana, who is trying to decide if she wants an Air Fryer or an Instant Pot for Christmas. Personally, I use my Instant Pot over my Air Fryer and the only reason I can come up with is that I don’t eat a lot of fried foods. But, as I was looking around for something healthier, I ran across this Air Fryer Baked Apple from Nutrisystem. And you can make it with an apple or a pear. 139 calories. Serves 2 Total Time approximately 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

1 medium apple (or pear)
2 tablespoon chopped walnuts
2 tablespoon raisins
1 1/2 teaspoon light margarine, melted
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup water

Directions:

Preheat air fryer to 350° F. Cut the apple in half around the middle and spoon out some of the flesh. Place it in the provided frying pan or the bottom of the Air Fryer (after removing the accessory). In a small bowl combine the melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, walnuts and raisins. Spoon the mixture in the centers of the apple. Pour water into the pan. Bake 20 minutes. Serve. Yum Yum!
